This sporadic blog is turning out to be the most sporadic of all the sporadic blogs, but trust me, it’ll be worth it. So, what I’m thinking is to aim to publish a post every Monday (I know, it’s now Tuesday, so obviously not off to the best of starts) then I can not think about blogging until Sunday evening thus recreating that back to school tomorrow oh god what homework have I got fear, which will make me write something. Fingers crossed.
Anyway, let’s talk about this weather. It’s been so gorgeous and so difficult to resist all the summer collections on the high street. I’ve been tempted by polka dots and florals, tropical prints and basket bags, but this year I made the decision to stick with the summer clothes I already own. Having lived in the south of France for four years, my wardrobe is full of cute summer outfits that I rarely get a chance to wear. Indeed a huge benefit of being over 50 – if you haven’t done a Marie Kondo and chucked the majority of your wardrobe – is that you have so many things to bring you joy a second (or even third) time round.
And so I leave you with the one thing I did treat myself to this summer, and it only cost £9.
I may be 50 something but who knew that an Age 14 t-shirt from the Next children’s department would be such a good buy?
What I’m wearing: T-shirt: Next | Jeans: Zara (old) | Belt: v old | Sandals: Birkenstock (old)| Sunglasses: Vivienne Westwood (old)
