Isn’t there usually a heatwave in May?  I’ve just put the heating back on and tomorrow is 1st June! This year spring has been much chillier but my latest investment from Zara, a kimono style chunky knit, has been perfect for when the sun refuses to come out. And the cat’s eye sunglasses from Le Specs are perfect when the sun eventually shines.

What I’m wearing: Cardigan: Zara | T shirt: Primark | Joggers: Suzy D @LazariClothing | Boots: Next | Sunglasses Le Specs

Marks and Spencer is having a bit of a moment and is definitely worth a browse on the high street or online. The beauty department is like a mini Space NK, stocking brands such as Nuxe and Glamglow, and the new collaboration with Lulu Kennedy for the Indigo collection has some really great, inexpensive pieces for summer. It was a tough decision because I wanted so much of it but I decided on the embroidered gypsy blouse and these really cute and colourful bracelets.

What I’m wearing: Blouse: Lulu Kennedy x M&S | Trousers: Zara | Boots: Next | Sunglasses: Gucci | Bag: Scarlet Rage Vintage | Bracelets: Lulu Kennedy x M&S

When I saw that a new accessories shop was opening just down the road I was obviously interested –  a girl can’t have enough bags, right? And O Bag Factory is bag heaven.  Its unique concept means that you can customise not only bags but watches and sunglasses too. I bought a standard O Bag in rock and added the Murmasky faux fur trim in natural. I couldn’t decide between the faux leather handles in gold or silver so I bought them both and change them according to my outfit. I’ll be going back to customise my bag for spring/summer and will probably have to pick up some shades too…

Back in March I visited the Women of the World Festival at the Southbank in London and I discovered a stall selling these gorgeous knickers.  They’re made in a factory in Southampton using end of season fabrics from major lingerie companies. Best of all they’re made by women who’ve had a hard time in life and who are encouraged to learn new skills and work their way up through the company.

Mine (the Aimee stretch lace shorts) were made by Dina and I can honestly say that they are now my favourite pants. They’re comfortable,  fit beautifully and with no VPL I can wear them under anything. I’ll be ordering more…
